Welcome to our little slice of paradise - a perfect cabin for couples or small family getaway! Rustic craftsmanship meets modern sophistication w/stunning views. Borders US Forest property & a mile of lake front in our secluded cove. Awesome spots on the lake to swim & watch the sunset. Minutes to downtown Blue Ridge, Vineyards, the Appalachian Trail, Lake Blue Ridge Marina, hiking, zip lining, boat rentals & so much more. Enjoy spending time on the deck, in the private hot tub & enjoy the fire pit!
Getting to the cabin is easy with all paved road access. Once you get there you'll notice high speed fiber internet and great cell phone coverage.
Now let's talk about the cabin which is all about indoor and outdoor living at it's best.
On the main floor is the kitchen, dining area, living room with leather reclining furniture with a smart TV, small alcove with a twin sleeper sofa and another smart TV and a full bathroom. Natural light comes in through the windows and skylights. The kitchen is well appointed for your meals, with leathered granite, stainless appliances, gas grill. All beautifully designed with modern sophisticated rustic design.
As you walk up the stairs to the second floor, you'll see a desk/work nook before you walk into the master bedroom with a king size bed. There are great views outside the bedroom windows. The master bedroom has a large TV for you enjoyment and a beautiful master bathroom.
You will love the covered wrap around porch that has a bench by the front door, patio furniture and patio dining set with a gas grill on another side, and then of course continue walking around to the hot tub.
And don't forget the fire pit. We provide you with wood for your stay. 3-4 pieces of wood is usually more than enough for a great fire.
Right across the street is United States Forest Land, and you will likely see many deer during your stay. The lake community that Lake Cove Cottage is in, is very small and a nice walk around. We have 2 favorite spots to walk to view the lake, sit and enjoy the sunset and swim. Information about both these spots awaits you in the cabin, or we'd be happy to send you info about it before your stay.
A fun fact about Lake Cove Cottage is that the cabin was built in 1969 as a tiny 1 room fishing shack. Because of the specialness of the location, the cabin was recently taken down to it's bones and reimagined, and redesigned. We believe Lake Cove Cottage is uncommon and has a magical energy and its unique setting couldn't be duplicated in any other property. The renovation of the cabin was a labor of love.
