Recently remodeled log cabin on the Cartecay River just 5 minutes to Ellijay. This two-bedroom, two bath log cabin is the perfect getaway for up to four guests.
You have unspoiled views with 2000 acres of Department of Natural Resource land across the river. So many things to do close by, fish from the deck, raft/kayak/tube down the river, enjoy local wineries, pick apples from the nearby orchards, hike or bike the many area trails, shop and dine in downtown Ellijay. If you like to stay in, the kitchen has all amenities needed to cook at home, soak in the hot tub overlooking the river, relax on the swinging daybed on the screen porch, Smores over the firepit or watch TV in front of an indoor fireplace. Note: fireplace is disabled from mid-May to mid-September. Sorry, no pets allowed.
Rooms: The second-floor bedroom has a king bed, on-suite private bath, TV and gorgeous views up and down the river. Be lulled to sleep by the sound of the river. The first-floor bedroom has a king size bed and large closet. Bathroom is across the hall. Kitchen is fully equipped with electric range, large refrigerator with ice maker, Keurig coffee maker, microwave range hood, dishwasher and all the small appliances you need to enjoy your stay. The great room has a floor to ceiling gas fireplace with TV niche and bluetooth sound bar and can be enjoyed from the kitchen and dining room. Cook your freshly caught fish on the gas grill and enjoy dinner on the screen porch or around the dining room table taking in the views and sound of the river. If you can’t go a few days without doing laundry, a full capacity washer and dryer is provided.
Directions: The Cartecay Cabin is easy to get to just 5 minutes off highway 575 east of Ellijay. From Ellijay, take Yukon Rd to left on Clear Creek Rd to left on Bernhardt Rd down to the river then right on Whitewater Ln, second house on the left.
