This beautiful Colonial Gambrel cottage offers private living close to the ocean and nearby salt pond. The nearly 3,000-square-foot cottage has been recently renovated with a brand new kitchen, appliances, and bathrooms. It has been expertly maintained and consists of four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a family room with an “old colonial-style” decorative fireplace, bright and beautiful living room with grand piano, comfortable dining room and bright eat-in kitchen. It also features a tiered deck with barbecue for outdoor entertaining.
What makes Emerald City truly special is access to Weekapaug's unique, uncrowded beaches. Beach passes and a parking sticker gain you access to both the Weekapaug Fire District beach and Fenway beach where a stone jetty acts as a surf break, making it ideal beach for small children (fairly mild wave action relative to surrounding beaches). High end beach chairs, umbrellas and toys are conveniently stored in the garage.
Emerald City is exceedingly well equipped for a family with young children. A new full-sized pack and play w/ bassinet and seat attachments, separate easy-to-assemble crib, horizontal blackout blinds in each bedroom, lots of linens/towels/beach towels, comfy couches, a couple high-end canvas bean bag chairs for movie watching, plenty of toys and art supplies for rainy days. Best of all, a newly-added 'tree house' that is sure to enchant children.
The house itself has the charm of a beach house that's been enjoyed for generations... a beautifully decorated home with plenty of rooms to spread out, read a book, watch a movie (den has a large TV with Apple TV with many streaming services, WiFi and wireless printer) or enjoy a family meal.
